Meet Kerry Maher: The Golf Pro Building a Global Community One Warrior at a Time

Every so often, someone comes along in this industry who changes how you think about who golf is for. Kerry Maher is one of those people.

Kerry is a golf pro and fitness coach who built her career around a simple idea: golf should make women feel stronger, not smaller — especially the women who assume that ship has sailed. When the pandemic sent her home in 2020, she cleared a corner of her garage, hit "Live" on Facebook, and invited whoever was watching to work out with her. Two people showed up that first morning. She kept showing up anyway, and so did they.

That small daily habit became Get Vertical, now approaching its fifth year and home to hundreds of women worldwide who call themselves the Warriors. Every weekday, members log on for a live 30-minute workout and a golf tip built around one goal: move well, swing better, show up for yourself. There's no leaderboard here, and no tournament talk — just gratitude, humor, and coaching designed for women 50 and older who are ready to reinvest in themselves. Kerry also works with members in person, one-on-one or in small groups, when the community brings her to their city.

Ask any Warrior what keeps them logging on, and the answer is rarely about the golf swing. One member recently marked four years in the community by calling it the only thing she's stuck with besides her marriage. That's the kind of loyalty you can't manufacture — it's earned one honest morning at a time.

For Kerry, golf was never really about the scorecard. It's a reason to travel, to laugh with old friends and new ones, and to feel capable in your body again. That's exactly where her story and ours started to overlap. I've watched the Get Vertical community build strength and confidence together online, then take that same energy on the road — golf trips to Spain, Morocco, Thailand, and Kenya, where friendships formed on a Facebook Live become friendships formed over dinner on the other side of the world. That's the same thing we've spent decades building at Elite: journeys where the golf matters, but so does everything that happens around it.

It's why partnering with Kerry made sense from the first conversation. She's spent years earning the trust of women who'd counted themselves out of golf entirely. We've spent years designing the kind of trips that reward that trust once it's there. Together, those two things fit.

Kerry Maher is now a brand ambassador for Elite Golf Experiences. She'll be joining select journeys to lead movement sessions and share swing tips built for real bodies at real stages of life, bringing the same Warrior energy that's made Get Vertical a daily habit for hundreds of women — this time with championship fairways, five-star dinners, and Elite's signature pacing built in around her.

You don't need to be an athlete to travel with Kerry, and you don't need much of anything to start — just the willingness to show up. That's a philosophy I've believed in for a long time, and I'm glad to see it come to life through this partnership.
